What this site is
wearable.tools is a dated briefing on voice-first wearables, a scored ranking of the devices you can buy, and a directory of the hardware. Positions are computed from published per-axis scores, not written by hand.
What the scores rest on
The ranking covers devices whose primary purpose is capturing or responding to speech. Only shipping devices take a position; announced, preorder and discontinued objects stay in Hardware. Every device is scored on the same seven axes with the same weights. The total is arithmetic; the judgement is in the axis scores, each published with the reasoning behind it. Each axis score is written from cited specifications and published reporting. The notes name the device so they can be quoted alone. Sources sit at the bottom of every device page. A figure the manufacturer does not publish, or publishes twice with irreconcilable values, is omitted rather than guessed.
There are no affiliate links on the site at the time of writing; if that changes, it will be disclosed on the pages it affects before any link goes live.
Corrections
If a specification here is wrong, it is a mistake rather than a position, and it will be corrected and noted on the device page. Scoring is a judgement and will be defended; facts are not, and they will be fixed.
