Limitless is a Meta company as of today, and the Pendant is no longer for sale. CEO Dan Siroker’s post is the primary source; Reuters, TechCrunch and CNBC confirmed Meta’s statement that the team will work on AI-enabled wearables inside Reality Labs (Limitless; Reuters, 5 December 2025; TechCrunch). Terms were not disclosed.
Existing owners keep hardware support “for at least another year,” lose the subscription invoice, and receive the Unlimited plan at no cost. The Rewind desktop app begins sunsetting, with screen and audio capture disabled from 19 December 2025. The Pendant’s consent design — a white LED that could not be dimmed — is now a discontinued standard rather than a shipping one.
The same post withdraws the service from Brazil, China, the EU, Israel, South Korea, Turkey and the United Kingdom as of today, with a 19 December deadline to export data before deletion. That is a larger privacy event than the acquisition headline. A lifelog company that spent a year holding other people’s days is deleting them on a calendar.
Humane’s Pin already demonstrated what an asset sale does to cloud hardware. Limitless is the milder version: the lights stay on for a defined window, sales stop, regions vanish. The Limitless Pendant leaves the ranking because it cannot be bought. It stays on the site because the LED, the 35-hour buffer and the 100-hour-then-a-full-day battery story are still the comparison set for anyone about to buy a microphone from a startup.
