A missing number on this site is doing work. The schema for devices allows microphone count, battery hours, weight, storage and materials to be absent, because several manufacturers in this category do not publish them. Forcing a figure from a teardown would produce a complete-looking table nobody could verify. “Not published” is the printable fact.
Sandbar is the exhibit. The Stream Ring is a $249 preorder with no weight, no battery hours, no storage capacity and no microphone count. The battery claim is the words “all-day battery life” (Sandbar). Four fields empty is not a delay. It is a company that has taken money for a ring whose endurance cannot be compared to Bee’s 160 hours or Plaud’s 30.
Contradictions are treated as absence
Limitless announced 100 hours in April 2024 and now tells owners to charge every night (The Verge; Pendant FAQ). The Limitless Pendant page therefore publishes no battery figure. Choosing the launch number or the FAQ number would be editorial in the bad sense. The gap is the specification.
Plaud’s support site and Plaud’s blog disagree by a factor of sixteen about how much audio 64 GB holds. Support’s “30 hours” matches the Note’s battery figure; a Plaud blog says 480 (Plaud support; Plaud blog). Storage drops out of the table entirely, which is easier to miss than a printed “Not published.” That is a display bug in the category’s favour: the hole is real, and it does not show up as a row you can argue with.
Weight is the wearable tell
Bee and Omi want to be worn all day and do not publish grams. Plaud publishes 30 g for the cards and 16.6 g for the NotePin. A manufacturer that will not say what the object weighs is asking to be scored on photography. Wearability notes have to say that. They cannot invent 18 g from a reviewer kitchen scale and file it as a spec.

Omi at least publishes the cell: 150 mAh, 10–14 hours on the current FAQ, against a three-day CES interview. The hours are present so they can be argued with. Sandbar has not given anyone that courtesy.
The rule follows from how this ranking is scored: a site whose value is accuracy about numbers cannot fill holes from a teardown. Completeness is the manufacturer’s job. Emptiness is ours to print.
