Two of the devices this site still publishes are not products. Humane’s AI Pin ceased to function at 12pm PST on 28 February 2025. Limitless stopped selling the Pendant on 5 December 2025 after Meta’s acquisition and promised support through 2026 (Limitless; Reuters). Methodology is explicit: only shipping devices take a position. Discontinued hardware keeps a page and leaves the order.

That looks like clutter if you arrived for a shopping list. It is the opposite. A ranking that deleted the Pin would forget that a Trust Light can die with a cloud. A ranking that deleted the Pendant would forget that an undimmable white LED was a solved consent problem, and that a 100-hour battery became “a full day” without a correction (The Verge, April 2024; Pendant FAQ).

What those pages are for

The AI Pin is evidence. Dual microphones, no wake word, LTE, reviewer-measured four-hour battery, Charge Case recalled, $499 after the cut, $24 month mandatory, then a brick. Every always-connected assistant announced at CES 2026 can be asked whether its output lives on a computer the buyer does not control. The Pin is the dated answer.

The Limitless Pendant is a standard. Beam-forming capture, 35-hour on-device buffer, REST and MCP for the lifelog, a light you were not allowed to hide, then an acquisition that pulled the SKU and entire regions in one blog post. Bee is the shipping always-on clip that remains. If Bee’s LED, battery or cloud changes under Amazon, Limitless is the prior art.

What they are not

They are not nostalgia. They are not a warning label dressed as independence theatre. They are not ranked. Putting a dead pin above a $50 clip you can order this week would be a lie even if the Pin’s privacy hardware was better, which it was.

Shoppers who only want the order can ignore the discontinued block. Anyone writing about “the category” cannot. The next pendant will claim a week of battery and a thoughtful LED. The files to diff against are already here, with sources, with dates, with the fields left empty where the manufacturer contradicted itself. Deleting them to look current would make the living pages less checkable, which is the one failure this site is not allowed.
