Three hundred minutes is five hours. That is a couple of long meetings, or a week of short ones, or a single conference day. Plaud’s Starter tier and Vocci’s Starter tier both use it as the included transcription allowance (Plaud pricing; Vocci membership). Hardware pages then look like “$159” and “$249.” They are not.

Plaud Pro is $99.99 a year or $17.99 a month, 1,200 minutes. Unlimited is a third SKU. Vocci Plus is $15.99 a month or $119.99 a year. Anyone buying these objects as a meeting practice is on the paid tier by the second week. Methodology already encodes year-one as hardware plus the annual SKU when there is one. This piece is why the encoding is not optional kindness.

Starter is doing marketing work

A free tier that exports WAV, as Plaud’s cards do, is still a usable recorder if you refuse to pay. The product being sold is the templates, speaker labels and summaries. Scoring intelligence on Plaud’s stack and value on Starter would be mixing the demo and the invoice. Vocci’s Starter still transcribes; Plus is where the volume lives. The ring without Plus is a titanium dictaphone with a cap.

Bee remains the control: $49.99, no billed plan, Premium promised without a price. Omi still documents a no-plan on-phone path. Those are actually $0 subscription encodings. Plaud and Vocci are not, and printing “subscription optional” next to 300 minutes is how the aisle has trained shoppers.

As of this week the Pro is hardware plus $99.99 if you take annual Pro. The Vocci Ring is hardware plus $119.99 if you take annual Plus. Exact live figures live in those tables so this paragraph cannot rot. The shape will rot only if Starter becomes a real working allotment, which no meeting-shaped week will allow.

A ranking that used Starter as the value denominator would put both families higher than Bee on a technicality, then surprise the buyer at minute 301. The value notes on the device pages already say the cap is a trial. This is the same sentence at essay length, because it is the one manufacturers will not put in the same point size as the hardware.
